Here's another issue I am seeing.
I am seeing this happen fairly often where I am getting undercut by the bot when really I should have less points

We have updated functionality of Gin Rummy with the addition of discarding (as requested by many). Check out the new mechanics!

In a previous message you had said that you are required to have 11 cards in your hand when you knock or gin. I am still a little confused on this rule as when I knock- I am expected to have 11 cards in my hand and not able to discard the 11th card.

However when the bot knocks- a discard of the 11th card is allowed and then it only has 10 cards on the board.

Can you help give understanding as to who is going on here?

First screenshot is when I knocked

2nd is when the bot knocked.

Hi! In screenshots 1 and 4, you have 10 cards in your hand and you need 11 to knock. Additionally, players are not able to knock if they pick up from the discard pile, which may have been the situation. Picking up from the discard pile to complete a set, requires a discard itself.

Here is another example of what I am talking about from tonights game.

If I'm not mistaken- I should have been able to knock with 4 dead wood. However, it didn't give me the option to knock with the 4 deadwood. All I was able to do was discard the 4 and let the bot have the next turn. Which on the next turn the bot knocked. Of course I undercut because I had no deadwood in my hand at that very moment in time.

Please help me understand this. 0

Here are two screen shots of where it wouldn't let me select knock or gin.

The one shows the bot knocking after my turn where I wasn't able to click knock or gin- I discarded the 3 on my turn because i didnt have any other option.

The 2nd shows that I have 9 deadwood and should have been able to knock but again, the option wasn't given to me.

Hi!

There are multiple forms of Gin/Rummy with different rulesets. In our particular rule instance, you are required to have 11 cards in your hand when you go out. With either them all used in a Gin format, or with a knock card(s) that form deadwood. You do not have a 'discard' - you either knock with complete Gin, or with deadwood. Often times, it is best to have a lower final card (such as an Ace, or a two) when knocking.

If that explanation didn't help, you can always take a screenshot of your situation - and include it within your reply/comments and we can try to help more.

Hope this clarification helps! smile

I have had several games now where I am able to use all of my cards with a discard or no discard and the game will not let me knock or gin.

Ive also seen it several times where the bot will knock and not have any cards left but when I try to knock it won't let me play a final discard.

Can someone please help me understand what is happening here.
