Hello,
We have had several requests from users to provide a way to silence some of the badge alerts. Personally we think they are super fun and it's exciting to see other people earning cool stuff around the site. But we do aim to please so we have added an option on the Site Settings tool to disable seeing notifications about other player's badges.
You still will see your own badge alerts and other site notifications with this setting enabled.
