Chat freezing game

First of all thank you for keeping us leaguers in play.. My main problem is when I chat, the game freezes, and I have to exit and come back in.. During league play that is equal to zero score. If I try to bring up an emoji in chat I also freeze.. Any solution would help. Thank you.
